Kendall is 2 weeks old

I took Kendall to her 2 week check up and she had gained weight. She now weighs 8lbs and 6 oz and she grew an inch. The girls are a big help. Karissa loves to feed her and Katie likes to hold her. Every little noise she makes they both report back to me, I have a feeling that Kendall will never get the chance to cry. Everytime she fusses Katie tells me I need to change her diaper. Kendall is going to be one spoiled little girl because her sisters are going to make sure all of her needs are met!

Karissa also had a Dr's apt. She had to get her 6th grade check up and she had to get 2 shots. She did really well and I was very proud of her. She hates any type of Dr and she "freaks out" when she has apts. It was so nice not having her throw a fit. This summer I have let her take a break from her medicine and she is doing very well without it. Of course it helps that she is at the pool and playing outside. She really needs to burn alot of energy in order to function. In school, church, and piano she is really quiet and reserved but when you get her home she wears me out. Last year I couldn't handle her during the summer without her medicine so it's a nice change.

It's so hard to believe that tomorrow Kendall will be 2 weeks old. It seems like she has always been apart of our family. I feel like our family is complete now. Karissa has been a big help. She loves to feed her and Katie helps out in her own little way too. Whenever Kendall cries Katie announces that she needs her diaper changed. The girls are doing great so far with having Kendall around. She is getting up through the night every 3 hours which is normal for a newborn but I feel like I'm too old for this. I was 23 when Karissa was born and 11 years later it's harder to deal with!
We feel very blessed to have our three girls.

Golfing with Aunt Kika

Our little golfer.
Dennis had taken Karissa for the first time a couple of weeks ago and then when Krista came to visit she took her again for her birthday. They only played 9 holes but she beat her last score. She looks like a natural! This week Jason is on vacation so he is going to take her again. She really likes it so we're hoping she will stick with this.
She really likes to drive the golf cart too.

Karissa's awards

Well she did it again- she made the A/B honor roll and she got perfect attendance for the whole year. We are so proud of her!

Karissa's 5th grade graduation

Karissa had her 5th grade graduation on Thursday night- June 4th. I missed it because I was still in the hospital. It was sad to miss this, but her Grammie, Aunt Kika, Maw-maw, daddy and Katie went so she had a support group. A friend of mine gave me the idea to let her wear something special of mine so I let her wear the pearl earrings that Jason got me to wear for our wedding day. She was so excited.

I had a hard time being alone while everyone was at the graduation so Brooke and Tiffaney came to visit me and they brought Calviers. Yummy! Lora was coming too, but she was admitted into the hospital right at the time they came. Jason went to find her and she came and visited for a second. Brooke and Tiffaney went back and forth to my room and hers.

Lora needs our prayers because she is in early labor and she is only 31 weeks. When I'm feeling better I'm going to go visit her with Brooke. She is on strict bedrest- she is only allowed to get up and shower and go to the bathroom. Brian's mom is staying for a week and then I think either his dad or her mom. I feel so bad for her.

Our family of five

Kendall Christina is here!

On Tuesday night we checked into the hospital and they started me out on some medicine. I kept cramping and I only got 2 hours of sleep. By 6:00 they started to induce me and by 7:15 Dr Looff broke my water and said that I was only 1-2 centimenters dialated and that this may not work- we may have to talk about a c-section. At 8:30 I was in alot of pain so I was given Staidol (not sure how to spell it) and the nurse then goes well your contractions are all over the place but I'll get you the epidural and Dr. Looff may get made at me. By 9:00 I had the epidural and she checked me at 9:30 and I was fully dialated. They had to call in his partner because he was at St Joe's doing a c-section and won't be back until 10:30. Dr. Youkillis delivered her at 10:07 and Dr. Looff missed it by 5 mins.

The next day Dr. Looff told me he didn't even tell his partner about me because he didn't expect me to have her so fast and that he told his wife that even though he wasn't on call that night that he was going to perform a c-section so he may be late for his daughters' (who are triplets) graduation party. He told me he didn't know we would do it on Herko time!!

Kendall Christina is so beautiful (of course I'm bias!) She has a ton of blond hair! My nurse told me that they all voted and she got the beautiful baby award! The girls are already fighting over her. Her middle name is actually Jason's grandmother's name. She died on July 28th on Mary's birthday and she was Jason's closest grandmother. She is really missed. She was a great lady and a very Godly lady.
