Happy Easter

We had a great Easter. My dad was here to visit and the girls were so excited to have grandaddy here.
We had Easter dinner at the Herko's after church on Sunday and it was yummy! Of course I thought it was but the girls and Jason don't like ham so I'm sure they have a different opinion.
Next year we will have 3 girls to dress up for Easter!

coloring Easter Eggs!

The girls love coloring Easter Eggs. It was funny because Katie didn't remember doing it last year and so she thought we were going to color them with a crayon!

My girls want a dog so bad and not just any dog they want a chihuahua. They found these little skate boards at build a bear and came up with the idea of putting their litttle dog on it and "walking it" around the neighborhood. My neighbor Tiffany often lets the girls go on a walk with her and they brought their dogs with them. It's a little sad and quite funny. I'll have to post a picture of Karissa doing the same thing later.

Ever since Jason was bit by a small dog on the job 3 years ago he has turned away from wanting a dog. I told him that he needs to let them have a dog because he grew up with them. We'll have to see what happens after the baby is here and we finally have a fence.

My honor roll student and D.A.R.E graduate

I am so proud of Karissa. She works so hard and the grades don't come easy for her, but she made the A/B honor roll for the second time.
She received 4 awards yesterday and I was shocked. Then today her school had a very nice D.A.R.E graduation for the 5th graders. Maybe it was the hormones but I started to tear up. I kept thinking about her graduating from 5th grade on June 2nd. My baby is not going to be in elementary school after that. When the principal called them the class of 2016 I thought I was going to lose it. It's so sad to think that in 7 years she'll be in college. Time goes by so fast.

She did make a comment that she would never smoke and if she felt like she wanted too she would just lick the road!! I'm going to hold her to that!!

30 weeks along

I usually don't like to post any pregnant pictures of me, but my sister wanted to see what my belly was looking like these days. I'm 30 weeks along and based on my two past pregnancies we could possibly have her in 7 weeks. We haven't agreed on a name yet nor is her room ready. I'm thinking by the time the third child comes around the idea of being ready is overated.

Also I want to thank Emily for helping me with my blog!!

Katie's arm

Katie is doing so much better with her cast on now. She is actually using her arm and fingers now. She is also lifting it over her head which has stopped the swelling in her fingers. I was worried about her puffy fingers on Monday.

She is back to driving her jeep too. She gave it up for awhile and I tried to tell her that she can drive with one hand or use her other hand too, but she needed to figure it out on her own.

We go back to the Dr on April 15th and then she will get her cast off if everything looks good.

Jason has been driving for the past 4 days now and it is so nice for him to get out of the building. He drove to WVA for 2 days and to Campbellsville on Wed and then last night he was in Columbus. We were very blessed that he worked the day shift but it quickly ended yesterday. He left the house at 8:00 and he won't get home today til 10:00. I really don't like for him to be on the night shift, but he can't be picky right now.

Karissa

Karissa had another Ortho appointment on Wed and she didn't throw a fit. Of course all they did was take more pictures of her mouth and talk to me about what they are going to do about the lack of teeth she has. We had some good news-she won't need an expander, the braces should fix everything. When she is in her mid-teens she will then get inplants.

The whole visit went well and Dr. Tipton is so good. He was explaining how he was measuring her width of her mouth and showing her the tool he was using which looks like a compass with 2 pointed ends so she was a little nervous about it. I guess she thought he was going to poke her with it in the mouth. He saw that she was getting scared so he got close to her and told her what he was going to do and well he accidently poked her in the shoulder with it and she said Ouch! We started laughing and he told her that she could poke him in the arm now that he hurt her, of course she declined!!

We have to go back in Sept. he wants her to lose some more baby teeth before she gets her full set of braces. The older she gets the better- at least for me anyway.
